Demetris Pantelides

Director

Demetris is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Argus Management Ltd. He was previously the head of the investment consulting unit of TeamVision and a member of the firm’s investment committee. An experienced market and private portfolio manager, Demetris’s experience involves working closely with both institutional clients and high net worth individuals, and being responsible for client service delivery, including preparing portfolio analysis and performance reports, researching, analysing and understanding the clients’ needs and providing solutions that best meet those needs. His experience spans all aspects of the investment management and consulting process, from client acquisition, to delivery, risk management, regulatory compliance, and reporting. Prior to joining TeamVision, Demetris worked as an Associate in the dealing desk/risk management department of a Cyprus investment firm and as an Investment Advisor, where he researched and created investment policy statements for institutional clients and worked in the asset and risk management functions of alternative investment funds.

Demetris holds a BA in Business Management from the Henley Business School and an MSc in Investment Management from the ICMA Centre (University of Reading), receiving an Ambassador scholarship, based on academic excellence. Demetris is a CFA Charter holder having achieved first time passes at all 3 levels of the CFA program. He is also a holder of the CySEC Advanced certification and of the Bloomberg markets concepts diploma.

Kriton Dionysiou

Director

Kriton is a Director at Hephaestus, bringing a strong background in legal, regulatory, and governance matters with a particular focus on corporate and investment law. Prior to launching his own legal practice, he was an Associate Advocate at Elias Neocleous & Co LLC, one of Cyprus’s leading law firms, where he advised multinational and institutional clients on a wide range of civil, commercial, and regulatory issues, including cross-border disputes, investment structuring, and compliance. Kriton has extensive experience appearing before the Courts of First Instance and the Court of Appeal and has been involved in matters relating to AML compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.

Alongside his legal practice, Kriton has maintained an active role in academia. He serves as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Nicosia, teaching courses in Constitutional, Commercial, and Evidence Law, and has previously lectured at the Cyprus International Institute of Management and the University of Manchester, where he also conducted research in international investment and public law.

Kriton holds a PhD in Law (Foreign Investment Protection) from the University of Manchester, an LLM in European Law from Leiden University, an LPC LLM in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law, and an LLB in Law from Nottingham Trent University. His research on international investment and European law has been published and presented at leading academic conferences.

He is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association, a Certified Tutor with the Council of Europe HELP Programme and serves on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Studies for Politics and Democracy, as well as the Cyprus Bar Association’s Committee on International and European Law.

Kriton combines his expertise in law, regulation, and academia to contribute to the firm’s strategic direction and governance oversight, supporting Hephaestus’s commitment to regulatory integrity and sustainable investment management.

Chris Nias

Investment Consultant

Chris has close to 15 years of experience in asset backed securities markets with Mizuho, Credit Suisse and Barclays in London. On several occasions, he has ranked the top Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) trader in Europe.

He has run trading books with assets in excess of USD 1bln. His asset finance experience includes commercial real estate loan origination and syndication and management of a repo book. His extensive experience through the financial crisis gives him a deep understanding of secured lending and structured credit markets.

He previously was employed as Director – Commercial Real Estate Loans/CMBS Trading with Credit Suisse, London, managing a USD 500MM book of mostly distressed CMBS assets and working with the asset finance time originating and syndicating CRE loans. He held a similar position at Barclays, trading CMBS, credit card and auto leases and loans.

A University of Reading graduate, he acquired a Master’s of Science (Hons.) in the field of International Securities Investment and Banking. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing first class (Hons.) from Bucks Chilterns University College.

Constantinos Neophytou

Investment Consultant

Constantinos is an executive business leader with 30 years of experience in all aspects of investment consulting and fund management, venture capital and private equity. He has led teams at all levels of business, including executive roles in start-up companies in various sectors. Constantinos founded TeamVision aiming to focus on the local investment management market. Building on a 25-year career in investment services, Constantinos has a unique combination of scientific, technical and finance skills, together with expertise in launching and managing new ventures. His experience in venture capital includes investing in and managing projects in various sectors, including healthcare and drug discovery, agriculture, public transport, recycling, renewable energy, and software development. He is a Chartered Director (Institute of Directors, UK) and holds professional certifications from the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission and the Cyprus Insurance Companies Control Service.

Constantinos studied on full-merit scholarships at the University of Cambridge (BA, MA Hons) and at University College London (PhD) and held a Welcome Trust Prize post-doctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School (1997-1999).

Hephaestus Investment AIF V.C.I.C. Plc (https://www.cysec.gov.cy/en-GB/entities/aif/AIF/AUTHORISED-AIF/88163/), which was authorised by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (“CySEC”) on 30 July 2018 to operate as an Alternative Investment Fund with Limited Number of Persons (“AIFLNP”) pursuant to the provisions of the Alternative Investment Funds Law 131(I)/2014.
